From: Poland

I have to say it was not a hard decision to make. Once you see those views and the amazing sunset from Constitution Hill you will know this is a place for you!

Not even mentioning amazing people who are always ready to help you or just cheer you up if you need it.

It is impossible to not make friends in Aber.

Why have you chosen to be a Global Ambassador?

Being a Global Ambassador can be a very exciting experience and a chance to meet you and bring you into our student community.

What is the best thing about being an international student?

As an international student we are involved in many events that help us to feel like home in Aberystwyth, visit beautiful places across the Wales and cultivate and familiarize others with our culture. Although each of us is different, together  we create something unique.

My Course:

I am a joint honors student of psychology/criminology course.

Social Life:

You can think that in a town like Aber social life is not that spectacular but you are wrong! In the town you can find over 40 pubs where you can go with your friends and if you join even one society you can be sure you will not regret that.

The best thing about Aberystwyth?

Aber is a very charming town with a lot of unexplored places, such as hidden beaches or a small stream winding among the trees. And that's probably what I like the most about this town. At the same time, it is vibrant and full of inspirational people, but when you need a moment for yourself, you can always have it.

Advice for prospective students?

Keep calm, smile and ask for help if you need it! Don’t be afraid. Of course, you are in completely unknown for you place but don’t make mountains out of molehills. Take the advantage of many university events organised especially for you. Don’t think you are the only one who doesn’t know what to do and where to start, find a friend and let the new adventure begin! Remember, smile can make miracles.

Has the University been supportive during your time here?

The university is very supportive for every student. I personally appreciated the many conversations with my personal tutor, peer mentors and other staff members. No matter what you can always count on someone here.
