Fees

Aberystwyth University fees are set according to the cost to the institution of running the course and the recognised prestige of the course. We value our European students and consider you the same as our Home, Welsh students. Therefore your fees reflect this: The bands are: A) £5,600 B) £4,900 C) £4,500

Funding for Postgraduate study

Access to Masters (ATM)

As part of the Access to Masters (ATM) programme part funded by the European Social Fund, Aberystwyth University has a number of scholarships available for students embarking on Taught Masters courses in September 2013.

Aberystwyth Sports Bursary

The benefits of Sports Bursaries are:
£500 a year (up to 10 awards available annually)
Free Club Sporty membership of the University's Sports Centre for each year of study.
Guaranteed accommodation in a Hall of Residence/University managed property for the duration of the course.

Aberystwyth Music Bursary

Benefits of Music Bursaries include:
£500 a year, Free membership of all Music Centre ensembles or affiliated ensembles (including orchestras, bands etc.)
Free use of Music Centre practice, library and other appropriate facilities.
Guaranteed accommodation in a Hall of Residence or University managed property for the duration of the course (in order to secure your guaranteed place in Residence, you must apply for accomodation for the following academic year within dates advertised by the Accommodation Office for returning students).

Doctoral Career Development Scholarship (DCDS) Scheme

The DCDS is a prestigious fund for Research Postgraduates and replaces the former APRS/AIPRS competitions. 
These highly sought after scholarships are worth approx £18,022 per annum.
Successful UK/EU candidates will receive a grant for up to three years which will cover their tuition fees (up to the UK/EU rate of £3932) and also provide them with a maintenance allowance of approximately £13,590 and access to a travel and conference fund (£500 per annum).
Non-EU students would have to cover the difference between UK/EU tuition fees and the non-EU tuition fees from their scholarship. However, there will be 3 additional scholarships that covers this difference in tuition fees, which will be awarded to the three highest ranked non-EU candidates for this competition.

IBERS Mason's Bursary

The Mason's Bursary is open to all IBERS MSc courses and is worth £1500.

Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) - IBERS

Scholarships for Doctoral study covering UK/EU tuition fees and a stipend (for UK students only) of approx £13,590 per annum.
