Our social programme is designed to connect international students and home students alike, hence the Global aspect, through a varied programme of activities celebrating the diversity of Aberystwyth. Semester 1 TripsHarlech Castle

Oakwood Theme Park, Saturday 21st October (Saturday All Day Trip)

Oakwood is Wales’ biggest theme park and the best adventure park in Wales.

Come along for a fun filled day out.

£23 for the coach and entrance to Oakwood Theme Park.


Elan Valley, Wednesday 11th October (Wednesday Afternoon Trip)

The Elan Valley Reservoirs are a chain of man-made lakes created from damming the Elan and Claerwen rivers within the Elan Valley in Mid Wales.
Come and see what the Elan Valley has to offer and enjoy a guided bus tour around the Valley and visit the dams.

£6 for the coach.

Cardiff Winter Wonderland, Saturday 25th November (Saturday All Day Trip)

An ever popular trip to the Cardiff Winter Wonderland which offers Ice Skating, a Fun Fair and an alpine village serving festive food and drink.

Entrance to the wonderland is free except ice skating. You have the option to buy an ice skating ticket through the International Office.

You might also choose visit the Doctor Who Experience in the Bay, or Cardiff Castle in the centre, or just take advantage of the shopping and social opportunities the Welsh Capital has to offer.

Llanarchaeron, Wednesday 1st November (Wednesday Afternoon Trip)

Llanarchaeron is a small 18th century Welsh gentry estate, set in the beautiful Dyffryn Aeron Remarkably unaltered for over 200 years.

Llanarchaeron today is a working farm with two restored walled gardens which produce fruit and vegetables which you can buy. There are extensive walks around the estate and parkland and a café and shop.

Semester 2 Trips


Liverpool, Saturday 24th February (Saturday All Day Trip)

In 2008 Liverpool was named the European City of culture and is home to The Beatles.

This is your chance to visit the cities famous sites, enjoy some wonderful food, do some shopping or visit the museums and galleries.

Liverpool has something for everyone

Devil's Bridge and Hafod Estate, Wednesday 21st March (Wednesday Afternoon Trip)

Devil’s Bridge are world famous waterfalls. Come and visit the falls, set alongside stunning walks, visit the chocolatiers or enjoy a cup of tea and a scone in the tea rooms.

You will then have an opportunity to visit the Hafod estate,

Bath and The Roman Bath's, Saturday 24th March (Saturday All Day Trip)

Bath is a town set in the English countryside, famous for its beautiful architecture, iconic sights and fascinating history, and most of all its Roman Baths.

The Roman Baths form one of the best-preserved ancient Roman spas in the world, and is one of the UK’S most popular tourist attractions.

You will also have a chance to visit the town of Bath

Nant Y Arian, Wednesday 21st March (Wednesday Afternoon Trip)

Enjoy the watching the red kites in their natural habitat and mountain views in Mid Wales’ most popular woodland. 

With a range of walking and mountain biking trails, visitor centre and café.

£5 for the coach


Caernarfon Castle and Llandudno, Saturday 28th April, (Saturday All Day Trip)

Caernarfon Castle is a medieval fortress, created by Kind Edward I. Come and visit one of Wales’ most impressive castles.

Then visit the coastal town of Llandudno. Wales’ biggest seaside resort.

Travel up the Great Orme, visit the beach, walk down the Pier or do some shopping.

£15 for the coach


Newquay, Wednesday 2nd May (Wednesday Afternoon Trip)

Picturesque fishing village with golden sandy beaches, a perfect summer treat away from the exams!

Perhaps you might even spot a dolphin

One World Week 2018 will run from the 5th of March to the 10th of March and shall contain many exciting events for all to attend.
