In order to be nominated to Aberystwyth, please contact your Study Abroad Office for information on our application process.
To nominate students, our partners should contact the Study Abroad Team via studyabroad@aber.ac.uk with the following information:
- Student name
- Subject of study

From 2012/13, all nominations will have to be supported by an academic transcript.
Once we have received your nomination from your home university, the Study Abroad Officer will send you an email with more information.
If you are interested in coming to Aberystwyth, please find out who to contact at your university here.
Unfortunately, we do not guarantee accommodation for our European exchange students. We are offered a small number of rooms; therefore, those who are not allocated an University room are advised to arrive earlier to search for accommodation in the private sector. Please see below for some useful hints and tips on looking for private sector accommodation:
Once students have been nominated to Aberystwyth University, they will be sent an application form. This form should be returned within 3 weeks of the form being sent along with the students’ provisional module choice. Failure to do this will result in the cancellation of their placement.
Students are advised to take the equivalent of 60 Aberystwyth Credits per semester. This equals 30 ECTS. If students would like to take more or less than this amount, we will require written confirmation by the home institution.
