Entry Clearance Correction Scheme
If you have entry clearance that was issued at posts ABROAD, and the dates do not correspond to the guidance provided in the Immigration Rules, please make an appointment to see the International Student Adviser. You will need to bring along your passport and the dates of your course. If you have any dependants staying with you in the UK, you will also need to bring their passports, in order that the information can be rectified for all of you at the same time.
If the Entry Clearance Officer agrees that an error was made, it can be rectified without you having to pay for an extension from the UK Border Agency at a later date.
Please note that this scheme is only available via the University, and it does not apply to mistakes in leave granted by the Home Office in the UK, or by Immigration Officers at ports of entry to the UK.
