Ending Political Violence: State, Society, Organisational Dynamics

This CSRV conference brought together scholars, policy-makers and practitioners from different disciplines and with different area expertise to advance understanding of the factors that play a part in the transition away from political violence.  The focus will be on three areas of inquiry: state dynamics (both violent and non-violent, such as negotiations, economic, political or legal reform, as well as changes in the overall political opportunity structure), societal dynamics (e.g. the role of constituency support, changing ideological master frames, the growth of non-violent alternative organisations), and internal organisational dynamics (e.g. changes in leadership, organisational structure, resources, ideology).
