International Politics Research Group
International Politics Research Group (IPRG) seeks to bring together, at a time when the discipline is more atomised than ever, those keen to explore and discuss significant empirical 'international' issues from a variety of theoretical standpoints. The agenda will be ‘International Politics broadly conceived’, which, in the formulation of the DDMI’s Director, Dr. Jan Ruzicka, is ‘the study of world politics focused on the causal weight of the international’. This, we believe, has been the dominant tradition in the Department since its foundation in 1919, and it is what has distinguished Aberystwyth from most others working in the broad field of politics.
