PoPIT operates primarily as a reading group which discusses a wide range of philosophical and theoretical works that is relevant to the ongoing research of its members.

PoPIT also hosts distinguished external speakers as part of seminar programme, including Professor Nicholas Rengger (St Andrews) and Professor Heikki Patomaki (Helsinki).  The highlight of PoPIT calendar is the annual lecture.
