Office (shared) accounts
If you would like an email account or an area of filestore that can be accessed by more than one member of staff, you can request an Office account.
Office accounts come with
- an email account
- 2 GB of filestore
- an email alias (if required)
- the ability to publish webpages
Applying for an Office Account
- To apply for an account you must download and complete an Office account registration form
Administering an Office account
- In using this account you are bound by the Rules and Regulations
- The registered owner of an office account takes responsibility for all use made of it
- If other members of staff require access to the account you must ask Information Services to add their user name`s to the account
- If anyone who has access to the account leaves you must change the password (How do I do that?)
- You must check the mail for this account regularly. You can add this account into your email handler or you can use Webmail
If you are not using the account for email you must arrange to have the mail forwarded to your own account so that you receive notifications regarding the expiry of the account and/or its password. - The account comes with 2 GB of filestore. You can connect to this filestore from any computer with Internet access.

Renewing an Office Account
Office accounts are registered for a maximum of three years. The registration will have to be renewed when:
- the registration period ends
- the owner of the account leaves the University (the account will lock when the owner's account locks)
