PC Requirements to run BIS applications
Hardware Requirements
The table below details the minimum hardware that is required to run BIS Applications.

NOTE: The above disk space figures are requred for the application alone, and does not account for disk space required for Operating System (Windows) or Office applications.
All other applications listed below should work with the minimum hardware specification for AStRA detailed in the above table.

Note S2
BIS Applications are supported on Internet Explorer 5 or above. Software is required on your PC (known as a plugin) for the application to work. This software is either Oracle Jinitiator or Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE). You will be prompted to install this software once on your PC (unless there is a newer version available).
BIS Applications now also work on Netscape 4.5 or above with the same Oracle Jinitiator plugin.
AStRA, which includes Students and Admissions applications, run on Apple Mac and Linux using JRE, but is not supported by BIS.
