Printed Materials

The main collection of printed material e.g. books, journals, reference and quick reference, can be found in the Hugh Owen Library on Level F (top floor):

PGCE Collection

The PGCE collection of teaching resources can be used by all students, but is of particular use for Aberystwyth Secondary PGCE students. During the practical periods of their course, the loan dates of the books in the collection are extended so that students may borrow them for the duration of their teaching placements. It is only books from this collection (identified with a green band on the spine) that have this extended loan period and all other books in the university libraries remain two week, three day or short loan books. This collection is located on Level F of the Hugh Owen Library.

Includes the Online Staffroom, discussion forums for all subjects in the Curriculum, as well as for PGCEs and NQTs. PGCE Collection

Lifelong learning students have access to the same services as other students i.e. e-resources, print materials, help and support.

Specific resources for Lifelong Learning students:

The main collection of printed material for Lifelong Learning is found on Level F in the Hugh Owen Library, and for some subjects on Level E. It will be useful for you to look at the Key Guides for other subjects in order to gain a full idea of what is available.
