Library Fines

Fines are charged if you do not return your library loans by the due date. You can check on the dates items are due back, any fines that are owing and pay fines by logging into My Account in Primo - the Library Catalogue

Fines are charged for overdue items as follows.

Paying library fines

Online:

• Log in to My Account in Primo - the Library Catalogue
• Or you can log in to the online fine payment page directly at
• Minimum payment is £1
• A confirmation email will be sent to your University email account

In cash at:

• Hugh Owen Library  - Enquiry Desk
• Physical Sciences Library - issue desk
• Thomas Parry Library - issue desk

By cheque

• Made payable to Aberystwyth University and with the cheque guarantee number on the reverse of the cheque.
• Cheques can either be taken to the desks in the same way as cash (We will need to see your cheque guarantee card,) or posted to the address show on the left.
• Be sure to include your full name and the barcode number from your Aber card

By credit card

• Please telephone 01970 622400 between
  9 am and 5 pm Monday to Thursday
  9 am and 4 pm on Fridays
• Please note this service is for fines of £10 and over (£5 for Distance Learners)
