Library Fines
Fines are charged if you do not return your library loans by the due date. You can check on the dates items are due back, any fines that are owing and pay fines by logging into My Account in Primo - the Library Catalogue
Why we charge fines
Demand on Library materials is continually increasing. Therefore it is important for our users to obtain access to items they require as quickly as possible. Our fines system is intended to encourage people to return Library materials when they are due back, so that they do not impede other peoples' access to them.
Fines are charged for overdue items as follows:
| Loan Status | Fines |
|---|---|
| Standard Loan (14 days) | 20p per day 50p per day if recalled |
| Three Day Loan | 50p per day |
| One Day Loan | £1.00 per day |
| Videos (1 day) | 20p per day |
| Short Loan Books (10 hours) | 50p per hour |
| Short Loan (frequently used) DVD'S (15 hours) |
50p per hour |
