Library PIN

PIN numbers have been introduced for improved security to prevent unauthorised use of lost and stolen library cards in conjunction with the self-issue system.

Obtaining your PIN

All staff and students will be sent their library PIN via email within a day of activating their computing account.

Using your PIN

When using self-issue machines to take out books, you will be asked to type in your PIN after your card has been verified.

Lost PIN

If you have lost or forgotten your PIN you can have a reminder sent to your Aberystwyth University email address here

You can also check your PIN number on dedicated machines in the Hugh Owen and Thomas Parry Libraries .
