Library PIN

PIN numbers have been introduced for improved security, both to protect personal data held on the Voyager library system and to prevent unauthorised use of lost and stolen library cards in conjunction with the self-issue system.

Obtaining your PIN

Undergraduate and Postgraduate students and Staff members will be sent their library PIN via email within a day of activating their computing account.

Other categories of user entitled to a PIN number will be given their PIN when they collect their Aber card at the Hugh Owen Library Enquiry Desk.

Using your PIN

When using self-issue machines to take out books, you will be asked to type in your PIN after your card has been verified.

Lost PIN

If you have lost or forgotten your PIN you can have a reminder sent to your Aberystwyth University email address here

You can also check your PIN number on dedicated machines in the Hugh Owen Library.
