Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
evaluate approaches used to solve problems in managing the environment e.g. application of ecological principles to restoration problems
research and synthesise information in the literature, publications from government and non-government organizations and the web
critically evaluate data quantity and quality and contextualise it in a specific study area
Brief description
This module provides students with the opportunity to develop their critical abilities in specialized areas within the overall remit of Managing the Environment. Research skills will be enhanced through seminars given by both internal and external experts, scrutiny of the literature and databases and the production of abstracts and a literature review.
