Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module, students should:
- be able to identify and use the main research resources that are available to Software Engineers (A3);
- constructively participate in advanced technical debate in the field (A1);
- have a general overview of the Software Engineering field and be aware of focused areas of research interest within it (A1, A2, A3);
- be able to produce a survey paper on some current area of Software Engineering research (A3);
- be able to present current Software Engineering research at an appropriate level of detail to a technical audience (A2)
Aims
This module focuses on current issues in the field of Software Engineering. The module will involve students in an examination of current research literature of interest to software engineers.
