On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

Students will have covered chapters 6 to 10 of Themen neu in Zwei Banden Bd. 1.
Students will have acquired knowledge about language in general as well as a grasp of the most important German linguistic structures; students will have become familiar with the cultural context in which those German structures are used

Brief description

Students will cover chapters 6-10 of Themen neu in Zwei Banden, Bd 1.

On completion of the module students:

  • will have acquired knowledge about language in general as well as a grasp of the most important German linguistic structures;
  • will have become familiar with the cultural context in which those German structures are used.
There will be four hourly classes per week in which oral, aural and written skills will be taught in an integrated fashion on the basis of the textbook.
