Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate an advanced ability to apply specific dramatic techniques to the creation of a radio play script.
2. Demonstrate an advanced ability to think in sound in the creation of a radio play.
3. Demonstrate an advanced ability to work collaboratively in the creation of a radio drama.
Aims
This studio-based module continued the work of Semester One's Writing a Radio Play: the Nuts and Bolts in providing the student with the means to explore the creative process of writing (and in this semester, producing) for Broadcast Radio Drama.
Brief description
The student will be given the specific skills to develop short form radio drama from idea to script to produced play.
Content
1. Introduction to working in studio.
2. Introduction to building a play through sound.
3. Collaborative playwriting.
4. Recording the radio play.
One to one tutorials will take place with each student during studio days.
