Welcome to the Planning and Governance Department webpages
Housed within this service department are four teams; Planning, Governance, Reporting and Data Analysis, Project Management & Change Unit.
At Executive, Institute and Department level, Planning and Governance supports the development and implementation of planning activities and strategy, including the delivery of the University's common Risk Management framework.
The Planning team produces management information to support strategic planning and manages returns to HEFCW.
One of the very important roles of the department is analysing and reporting on internal and external data, to inform strategic planning and to monitor performance. This information is used by University’s Council, the Executive and by the Institutes and Departments in their planning and enhancement processes.

A team situated within the Department supports the Council and its key committees.
Data produced by the Department is also submitted to external bodies such as HEFCW and HESA, as required.
