Research Seminars

Seminars are generally held on Thursdays during teaching term. Most talks are given by external speakers on research in Mathematics and Physics. All are welcome to attend.

Research Group Seminars

Different research groups have their own seminar slots where research discussion and short presentations, usually given by internal speakers, take place. The different groups meet as follows:

  • The Applied Mathematics Group meets on alternate Fridays during teaching term. Further details are available from Simon Cox.
  • The Quantum Structures, Information and Control Group meet in the QCOT seminar, usually on Wednesday afternoons throughout the year.  Further details are available from Rolf Gohm.
  • The Materials Physics Group meet on Wednesday afternoons throughout the year.
  • The Solar System Physics Group meet on Wednesday afternoons throughout the year. Further details are available from Balázs Pintér.

Physics Postgraduate Talks are held on an occasional basis, allowing second year postgraduate students to present their work.
