How we process your application

The Postgraduate Admissions team will pass your application to the appropriate academic department(s) for consideration. You can expect a decision usually within 2 weeks for Taught Masters courses and 6 weeks for PhD or Research programmes. After this time you will receive an offer letter stating whether:

• You have been successful and are to be offered a place
• You have been invited to an interview
• We are unable to offer you a place

Your offer letter outlines:

• The conditions you need to meet before you can register
• The cost of your course
• The start date for your course

When you have fulfilled the conditions of your offer you will receive:

• A letter firmly accepting you to Aberystwyth University
• Information about how to pay tuition fees, how to register
• Instructions on how to apply for University accommodation
• Travel and arrival information, and an induction schedule for new postgraduates
