Living costs for UK and EU Postgraduate Students
We estimate that you will require the following amounts for each twelve months of study to cover accommodation, maintenance and personal spending (all figures are in pounds sterling). The figures below are based on responses to a survey of our own students undertaken in spring 2010 together with an additional 5% increase to account for inflation.

Please note that these Living Expenses do not include travel from the country of origin to Aberystwyth.
The above are estimated ranges of living costs for 12 months. These are only guidelines as some students will be able to live more cheaply whilst others will spend more.

Funding for UK and EU Research Students
Aberystwyth University can help cover the cost of being a postgraduate student with Departmental Scholarships and the new Doctoral Career Development Scholarship scheme (which has replaced the Aberystwyth Postgraduate Research Studentship Competition).
