Aberystwyth Postgraduate Research Studentship Competition

The competition for these prestigious research studentships is now open to all UK and other EU students who wish to study for a full-time PhD in any of the following departments at Aberystwyth University:

To be eligible you must:

1. be a UK/EU fee payer
2. have or expect to obtain at least upper second class honours in your first degree
3. apply and be offered a place for doctoral study at Aberystwyth

The University's general deadline for the 2010 competition is the 1st March 2010. Please note that the Department of International Politics and the Institute of Geography & Earth Sciences has an earlier deadline of 29th January 2010.

Successful applicants will receive a grant for up to three years which will cover their tuition fees and also provide them with a maintenance allowance of approximately  £13,290 and access to a travel and conference fund.

Departmental nominations will be forwarded to our Deans' Office at the end of March for evaluation. The results will be announced during the first week of May.
