When should I apply?

Ideally, applications should be made between December and February. However, Aberystwyth University accepts applications for postgraduate study throughout the year, providing you meet the minimum requirements and there are places still available on your chosen course.

If you intend to apply for funding, remember that the Research Councils have deadlines. You need to pay particular attention to these deadlines, as in most cases you need to be holding an offer before you can apply for funding.

NOTE: the deadlines for the Doctoral Career Development Scheme are as follows:

• Department of International Politics: Last working day of January
• Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences: 1st February
• All other departments: First working day of March
