Banking and Financial Regulation Masters Degree
Our Banking and Financial Regulation Masters Degree provides you with the opportunity to study a wide range of core modules. For either the Specialist or Research Training pathway, you will also have the opportunity to study elective modules to complement you professional interests and career aspirations.
Research Training Pathway
The Research Training pathway provides you with core modules in: Research Skills and Personal Development, Data Collection and Analysis, Advanced Finance, International Finance for Economic Development, Empirical Methods in Finance, Principles of Research Design and International Finance Policy and Financial Regulations.
There are no elective modules offered on the Research Training pathway. Instead, you will be required to write a research dissertation relating to a chosen area of interest.
Specialist Pathway
The Specialist pathways provides you with core modules in: Advanced Finance, International Financial Regulation, International Business Environment, Modern Banking: Theory and Practice, Empirical Methods in Finance, International Business: Opportunities and Risks and International Finance for Economic Development.
Elective modules include: Advanced Financial Accounting, Emerging Financial Markets, Marketing Principles, Human Resource Management, International Markets and Marketing, Small Business Management, Competitive and Corporate Strategy, Developments in Management Accounting and Case Study Research in Accounting and Finance.
You will also be required to write a dissertation relating to a chosen area of interest.
Entry Requirements
A good degree in a related discipline. Prospective students should ensure that they have arranged with referees for their references to be available as required.
Non-native English speakers are required to take a University recognised test of academic English language proficiency with required minimum proficiency levels equating to an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 580 (paper based test) or 93 (internet based test). Applicants who have successfully undertaken a Bachelors degree in a UK University are exempt from this requirement.
