Current Research Highlights and Facilities
The department’s rapid growth is being supported by considerable financial investment by the University and soon the Department will be relocated to newly refurbished premises on the main campus. The Department will share the building with the Education Department and will be located on the ground and first floors of the building. The new Psychology Department will be equipped with state of the art teaching and research facilities which will include laboratory space, dedicated computer workrooms and a psychology specific student learning centre. The research suite will also provide a sensory deprivation chamber, eye tracker and EEG facilities and interview rooms for qualitative research. From September, Psychology’s new premises and facilities will see a significant advance in its ability to offer a more extensive range of PhD opportunities that will complement, build upon, and strengthen the current research and postgraduate environment.
