Environmental Earth Science
Environmental Earth Science is an exciting and challenging subject to study at university. The breadth and flexibility of the subject, incorporating perspectives from geomorphology, geochemistry, sedimentology, palaeoclimatology, geohazards, mineralogy, and many other aspects of Earth Science yields knowledge, interdisciplinary understanding and applied expertise.
The Environmental Earth Science degree course has developed from a strong background in Geology and Physical Geography because the solid earth has a major controlling influence on the other earth systems. We believe that only with a clear understanding of the Earth Sciences is it possible to understand issues such as climatic change, geohazards and global pollution.
