4.0 Follow-Up
The Visiting Panel will draw up a Report within 2 months of the Review which should be made widely available to staff and students within the Department. The Department will produce a response to the Report’s recommendations. Both the Report and the Department’s response will be submitted to Academic Affairs Committee for formal consideration before presentation to Senate. Academic Affairs Committee will agree an appropriate timescale for follow-up to any specific recommendations contained in the Report and will aim to identify good practice which can be spread to other departments.
Where serious shortcomings have been identified as a result of a Departmental Review, Academic Affairs Committee is empowered to establish an external review body to undertake an independent assessment of the Department and to follow through specific recommendations.
