Anne is responsible for managing Aberystwyth University’s pre-award support to European funding applications.  Together with the European Unit, she is responsible for supplying information, proactive advice and support relating to grant applications to: Horizon 2020 (ERC, Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Societal Challenges); Structural Funds (ESF, ERDF and INTERREG); Programmes from other EU directorates e.g. Cultural Europe; and Networking initiatives such as European Innovation in Technology (EIT), Joint Technology Initiatives (JTI), COST and ERA-NET.


Prior to joining Research, Business & Innovation Anne worked as Project Co-ordinator on the EU INTERREG funded Sustainable Learning Networks Ireland Wales (SLNIW) project in the School of Management and Business at Aberystwyth University.

An experienced Project Manager having held roles within Higher Education, Private Industry and the Civil Service, she has a scientific background, with a PhD in Chemistry and a joint honours BSc in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Anne also has ten years’ experience as Research and Development Manager with an innovative chemical consumables manufacturing SME based in South Wales, where she was responsible for new product development and managed collaborations with Pharmaceutical Companies and Contract Research Organisations.

Anne joined the Research Office in May 2012 as European Development Officer. She has been European Development Manager since September 2014.
