PURE

PURE is the University's CRIS (Current Research Information System). The purpose of which is to allow staff to view, in one space, all of their current research activity including research outputs, activities and impacts.

The system also offers a robust management dashboard and reporting functionality, including the production of CVs for webpages and research funding applications. The role of PURE in the management of research data and research equipment sharing is also being investigated.

PURE Personal User training is delivered every term.

PURE and Open Access

The deposit of research output records in PURE on publication acceptance, along with a full text of the item once available, will allow staff to comply with the stated open access policies of both HEFCE/ HEFCW for ‘REF 2020’ output submission eligibility and research funders policies, including those of RCUK. Once verified, output records will then be transferred automatically to CADAIR, the University’s institutional repository.

PURE and ‘REF 2020’

PURE was utilised for managing the University’s REF 2014 submission and will recommence this role for ‘REF 2020’ with the introduction of a dedicated module in June 2015.
