Responsibilities

To provide research support to academics and researchers in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

  • providing support for academic staff in the development, formulation and preparation of research grant proposals
  • Monitor sources of funding, identify and proactively promote new research opportunities
  • Work with others departments in Aberystwyth and Bangor Universities, and other research organisations where there are collaborative consortia opportunities.

Biography

After completing his PhD Dafydd successfully developed an Arts Council of Wales funded project, which led to further work in community development. Most recently Dafydd worked for Voluntary Arts Wales and Powys Association of Voluntary Associations as a funding officer. His experience has been in providing funding support, training and community development for voluntary sector groups across Powys. He has sought and managed many funded projects for voluntary sector groups in Powys including community arts projects, social enterprise schemes, and provided funding support and training for groups.
