Responsibilities
Tim Williams is responsible for research support within IBERS, helping with the development of research projects, grant-writing, commerical partner search, engagement and relationship management.
Biography
Prior to Tim’s return to the role of Research Fund Development Manager at Aberystwyth University’s Institute of Biological, Environment and Rural Sciences, a role he first took up in 2009, for 18 months Tim was Project and Media Officer for the Climate Change Consortium of Wales that involved liasion with leading researchers at Cardiff, Banger and Swansea universities. Previously Tim served as project officer for the Aber Bio Centre at Aberystwyth University, working within the Commercialisation and Consultancy Services team. Tim graduated from Aberystwyth University with BSc Hons Botany and worked for the Ministry of Defence as a data analyst whilst studying physics before moving to London and spending over 20 years in business including directorship of four limited companies mostly in publishing-related digital technologies including database publishing and newspaper production. Tim’s professional experience includes change and project management, ISO quality and environmental standards, publications management (including internet publishing), he has also edited two periodicals.
