Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences

Human Geography Excellence Bursaries

Value: £2,000 (£667 per annum over a 3 year period).

A minimum of 5 awards per annum are awarded to Single Honours, Joint Honours or Major/Minor applicants who choose Aberystwyth as their firm choice and achieve a top five ranking by points.

Institute of Mathematics and Physics

Institute Scholarships to pursue studies in Physics and Mathematics

Value: £500 a year for single honours students, £250 a year for joint honours students.

To qualify for an Institute Scholarship, an applicant must either be in receipt of an University Entrance Scholarship, or achieve at least two A* grades at A-level,  one of which must be Physics or Mathematics.  The level of the award is £500 per year for three/four years (£1,500 - £2,000 in total).  The award is retained providing an exam average of 70% or above in the Mathematics and Physics modules is achieved each year.  Joint honours students are eligible for £250 per year.
