Residential Bursaries

The University recruits students from all over the world and offers a guaranteed place in University residences for the first year.

Aberystwyth provides a unique learning environment and the residential experience is an integral part of that environment. Students interact academically, culturally and socially and the focus for much of this interaction is the University residence.

 

 

To ensure that all students, irrespective of means, benefit from this unique learning environment, the University is offering a £400 discount from the relevant first year residential fee (NB: students beginning their studies in 2012 will receive an £800 discount) (Halls of Residence or University Managed properties) for all full-time undergraduate students who usually live in the UK/EU, and who fulfill the following criteria:

 

 

• Applicants must have applied to Aberystwyth through UCAS by 30 June, and must choose Aberystwyth as 'Firm' choice when notifying their choices to UCAS.
• Applicants must subsequently be accepted onto the scheme for which they have applied.
• The £400 is set against the full academic year’s accommodation fee (and will be reduced pro rata in the event of withdrawal). The discount will be automatically applied to all eligible candidates.
