Course Fees and Financial Support

Ways to Pay your Fee.


The course fee is shown along with the other details at the top of your chosen course description. Please enclose the fee with your enrolment form, making sure you write down the course code. You can pay by Cash, Credit card (by Phone and in person), Cheque or Gift Vouchers. All cheques are to be made payable to Aberystwyth University.
 

Early Bird Discounts

You can now get a discount of:
£5 on 5 credit courses                        £10 discount on 10 credit courses       £20 discount on 20 credit courses. 
To be eligible for the Early Bird Discount you must pre enrol by the following dates:
Autumn Term 1:          19th September 2011
Spring Term 2:            19th December 2011
Summer Term 3:         2nd April 2012

(Please note Early Bird Fees do not apply to Welsh for Adults classes)

Fee Concessions:

Concessionary fees are available to those in receipt of certain state benefits, a state pension only, or full time students. Early bird discounts also apply to concessionary fees. For more information phone 01970 621 598 or 621 580
 

Gift Vouchers for Learning  

It’s always difficult to find something different and meaningful to buy as a gift, so why not help someone fulfil an ambition to learn a new skill or pursue a hobby? The School of Education & Lifelong Learning at Aberystwyth now has gift vouchers which you can buy for your friends and family to use towards the fee for a Lifelong Learning course. Vouchers can be purchased from reception in Old College.

Financial Support, Fee Waiver Scheme:

• If you do not already have a First or Foundation degree, you live in Wales and are in receipt of certain benefits, you may be eligible to have your fees waived under the Part Time Undergraduate Fee Waiver schemes. For more information phone 01970 621 598 or 621 580.  Please note fee waivers can take up to a month to process. Please leave yourself plenty of time before start of course.

For successful candidates we reserve the right to impose a fee if you enrol on a course, but fail to attend, or complete the assignments for the course.

Go Wales


Are you an employer or employee of a Welsh SME?
The GO Wales Programme is a Pan Wales project offering a range of services including funding to help up-skill Welsh SMEs* by helping with the cost of training their graduate staff. You may be eligible for financial assistance. This would be partial-funding (50% of the course fee) up to a maximum of £1,500. * SMEs are small to medium-sized enterprises/companies with 250 employees or under.

Want 2 Work


The aim of this project is to engage with and encourage those over 16 who are not in work, to participate in return to work activities. Participation is voluntary, the help offered by Want 2 Work will vary depending on each individual’s circumstances.
Want 2 Work is a WAG and Jobcentre Plus initiative, funded by the European Social Fund.  The project is available to people over 16, who are not employed, not in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance.

Cancellations and Refunds


Course fees will only be refunded if a course has been cancelled or withdrawn by the School of Education and Lifelong Learning. In the event that an individual is unable to attend a course that has been paid for, a credit may be offered for use against another course held by the School of Education & Lifelong Learning. This will be at the discretion of the School of Education & Lifelong Learning.
