The Centre for Excellence for Leadership and Management Skills in Wales

 

The School of Management and Business has joined forces with Cardiff and Glyndwr Universities to deliver a Centre for Excellence for Leadership and Management Skills in Wales

The aim of LMW is to improve and enhance Leadership & Management skills in Wales through providing businesses with information about methods, frameworks and practices associated with the development of leaders and managers.

A body of research from the UK, US and Europe has informed the Welsh Assembly Government's view that businesses will become more competitive and productive and ultimately more profitable by developing their Leadership and Management skills.

LMW does not offer training or funding itself, but acts as a sign-posting and information provision service to businesses in Wales. Through the lmw.org.uk website, as well as during networking events held throughout the year, LMW offers a range of information on the importance of Leadership and Management Development, as well as links to training providers and funding options.

Leadership & Management Wales (LMW) is an integral aspect of the Enhancing Leadership & Management Skills (ELMS) programme that has been funded by the European Social Fund and is managed by the Welsh Assembly Government.
