Gary Straw

Adjunct Faculty

With a BSc in Statistics from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, Gary returned to gain an MBA from the School of Management and Business after a varied career in the private and public sectors.  He is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and Professional Contractor Group.

Gary delivers MBA-level Project Management based modules at a number of business schools within the UK and Eastern Europe, and this expertise extends to the provision of continuing professional development schemes with the Institute of Leadership and Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply.

Between 2001 and 2009, Gary was involved in the delivery of project consultancy services within a variety of sectors and project scenarios, specialising in the provision of support in the areas of system implementation, information management, market research & analysis, process evaluation, development & management.

Through a joint venture project, Gary also works on a collaborative basis with a Manchester based training company, co-developing business simulations that are delivered throughout the UK to blue-chip companies in the legal, auditing and financial services markets. He also provides mentor support in a variety of commercial and academic environments.

Gary is passionate about bringing the real world into all learning environments.  He takes a strong interest in the development of learning models that provide immediate and longer term benefits, and has provided support to students from all around the world.
