Biography

Jennifer joined the School as a lecturer in Accounting and Finance in 2002, following a 12-year professional career in accounting and business, in public, private and charitable sectors. She trained with Touche Ross & Co, qualified as an ACCA in 1993 and has been a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants since 2000. Previous to this Jennifer worked in the arts sector and retains an interest in financial management in arts and creative sectors. Jennifer studied for her LLM in International Business Law whilst in practice, which allowed her to combine both practitioner and academic perspectives on the impact of public procurement law on financial management. Jennifer’s subsequent research interests draw strongly, though not exclusively, on her varied experience as a practitioner. She is a member of the British Accounting Association and the BAA public sector and not-for profit interest group.
