Biography
Mick studied philosophy and classical studies at Aberystwyth University before embarking on a career in the private sector. He worked for over 25 years in various businesses, spending many years as a senior manager and director with PGL Adventure.Mick returned to academic study in 1998, completing an MBA at Loughborough University in his spare time. He then undertook a doctorate in organizational leadership and ethics, which allowed him to explore aspects of the theory and practice of management from a philosophical perspective.
Mick continued to work as a director of PGL whilst writing his PhD, but also began lecturing part-time. In 2005, He left his management role to focus on academic work. Mick currently lectures in business ethics, corporate governance ethics, and corporate social responsibility at Aberystwyth University and Loughborough University. He has also worked as a consultant author for the Open University, contributing to modules for the OU Business School and the OU Philosophy Department.
