Business and Management - Study Abroad

Studying Business and Management in another Country

If you want to broaden your Business and Management education with experience in Europe, America or any other part of the world, you’ll want to investigate the following opportunities when you choose to study Business and Management at Aberystwyth University

European Exchange Programme

As a UK or European undergraduate student, you will be able to join the University’s European exchange programme, enabling you to gain valuable experience of studying at a partner university in Europe. Our partners include: the University of Tampere, Finland, University of Hasselt, Belgium, University of Wroclaw, Poland and the University of Wurzburg, Germany.

When you participate in the exchange programme, your study in Europe will be considered an integral part of your degree scheme and your credits and grades will count towards your final degree. The programmes selected at our partner universities are in most cases taught through the medium of English, so you do not need to worry about your academic language skills. Instead, you can focus on your social language skills and enjoy a wonderful opportunity, making friends with other European students and learning more about student life in another country.

North American Exchange Programme

You are also invited to participate in the University’s North American Exchange Programme, enabling you to spend the second year of your degree programme studying at a partner university in the United States. Our partners include the University of Pittsburg, Washington State University, the University of Montana, Utica College and Boise State University.

Your study in the US will be recognized by the School of Management and Business as an integral part of your degree syllabus and your credits and grades will be transferred back to Aberystwyth, enabling you to progress into the third year of your degree programme.

A year in the US will provide you with valuable experience of another university and of American culture. You will also have the opportunity to develop new perspectives and values associated with the study and practical application of business, management, economics, marketing, finance and accounting practice.

Study Business and Management Internationally

We have provisional arrangements with many partner universities to deliver short academic programmes (2 weeks) to small groups of SMB students (on a self-funding basis), to enable you to experience the impact of the cultural environment when conducting business overseas.
