Economics Major/Minor Honours

You might wish to combine your study of Economics with other subjects. If you do, Major and Minor degree options are available with a broad range of subjects taken within and outside the School.


The Economics Major scheme allows you to take a range of core Economics modules and combine these with another subject. In each year of your studies you will take a third of your credited subjects from the Minor degree subject of your choice. For example, your Minor subject could be Information Management, International Politics, or Law. If you choose to study Economics with a language you would complete your degree in four years, as these degree schemes include one year of study abroad.

Similarly, Economics can be the minor component in a Major/Minor degree: one third Economics and two thirds the other subject. Your options in choosing to study Economics in either a Major or Minor include:
