Principal Areas of Interest:

- Immune function and risk of upper respiratory tract infection following acute and chronic exercise

- Influence of nutritional interventions on immune function and risk of upper respiratory tract infection

- Immune function and infection risk with chronic disease (e.g. COPD, Diabetes)

 

 

Biography

Following an entrance scholarship to Aberystwyth University, Arwel graduated with a BSc. (Hons.) degree in Biology and Sport Science in 2010.  In July of that year, he commenced his PhD entitled "Effects of bovine colostrum supplementation on the immune and gut responses to exercise" under the supervision of Dr. Glen Davison and Dr. Rhys Thatcher.
