Responsibilities
Laboratory ordering, maintenance of equipment, assistance with research, and setting up laboratory practicals. Health and Safety Officer, and the First Aider for the building.Profile
Ruth qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1986, following this she worked in A & E, ITU, trauma and general wards in various hospitals in various countries (UK, Australia and France). She received an Honours Degree in Environmental Biology from University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1993. She has worked as a technician for UWA since 1996, firstly as a sheep technician at the Institute of Rural Studies, then as the NACWO for the Aquarium at the Institute of Biological Sciences. She has been working as the technician in the Department of Sport and Exercise Science since 2003.
