Profile

Laura received a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Bangor University in 2009 and went on to complete a MSc. in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology also at Bangor University in 2010. During this time her research centred on narcissism and peak performance, specifically “Interactive Effects of Motivational Climate and Narcissism on Effort and Satisfaction in Training” and “Interactive Effects of Different Visual Imagery Perspectives and Narcissism on Motor Performance” which was published in the Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology in 2010. Following this Laura was offered a place at Aberystwyth University to study for a PhD researching Self Determination Theory and Reversal Theory, under the supervision of Dr Joanne Thatcher and Dr Emily Oliver.

Research

Principle areas of interest: Self Determination theory, Reversal Theory and Performance.
