Shape Up

What is Shape Up?

Shape Up is a proven weight loss programme that is set up and run by the Sports Centre. Shape Up aims to tackle the issues associated with weight gain in a multi-dimensional manner and offers you practical advice on how to make small, achievable changes to diet and lifestyle to help you lose weight. It introduces exercise in a safe environment and aims to give you the confidence to use the gym or join in classes.

Shape Up aims to improve health and well-being through:-
• Weekly meetings & weight loss tracking
• Informal lectures/handouts about healthy eating choices
• Guided exercise sessions & personal exercise programmes to follow at home or in the gym
• Directed work on goal setting and lifestyle changes
• Support through group work, emails and on-line information

Each week you will receive expert information and strategies via handouts, lectures and an introduction to fun and enjoyable activities. As a member of Shape Up you will be able to attend any of our Fit-Together exercise classes, our Gym and the Pool for free.
