Fitness Wales Gym Instructors Course

Course prerequisite: None

An ideal entry qualificationfor those wanting a career in fitness. This qualification is suitablefor persons who would like to work in a gym and for those who would like to work towards working as a personal trainer or as an exercise referral instructor (NB: additional qualifications are required to work in these additional roles). Persons who sucessfully complete the assessments will be awarded the CYQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing - Gym based exercise (a nationally accredited qualification and REPs recognised).

The cost for this course is - £550.00. A minimum of 6 candidates will be required for the course to run.

 Exercise to Music

Fitness Wales ETM Course

Course prerequisite: None

The course is designed for those who wish to teach EXERCISE TO MUSIC. Successful students gain the Certificate in Teaching Exercise and Fitness – a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification awarded by the CYQ Exam Board. This gives entry onto the Register of Exercise Professionals. No prior knowledge or qualifications are necessary, however candidates must regularly attend Exercise to Music/Aerobic classes.  

The cost for this course is - £550.00. A minimum of 6 candidates will be required for the course to run.

 Pool Lifeguard

 STA NaRS Qualification

Course prerequisite:

  • The candidate must be 16 years of age or older
  • Be able to swim 100 metres on front and back
  • Be able to swim 50 metres in 1 minute
  • Be able to surface dive and recover object from deepest part of the pool

The STA Certificate – NaRS Pool Lifeguard, [NaRS (PL)] is designed to train lifeguards

in pool rescue, CPR techniques, first aid and to be competent to deal with poolside emergencies in

accordance with sections 140 – 185 of “Managing Health and Safety in Swimming Pool"
