Welcome to Aber Football 7's

Aber Football 7's is a unique football event organised by the Sports Centre. The event pits teams from the student and local community to play in 7 a side round robin knock out competition.  The event aims to deliver a refreshing change from the normal football tournaments run in the area, by combining all the best aspects of the mini game with music, fun and enjoyment.

The organising team behind Aber Football 7's  have now 5 years experience in running this event, and each year we add something new following feedback from those who have participated in the event before. We accommodate all levels of players, and from any sporting background, as teams are placed in the appropriate league for their standard of play.

The tournament  consists of 7 teams in each of the 4 leagues.  The top 2 teams progress to the knock out Cup round, positions 3 & 4 progress to the knock out Plate round,  and position 5 progressing to the spoon quarter-finals, with teams 6 & 7 being knocked out of the tournament altogether.

With the event being organised by the Sports Centre, we have all the superb facilities at hand to ensure you have the best day of football available.  We are constantly striving to improve our event year on year, and as such the following changes will be implemented

• Pitches and surrounds will be even more dressed than 2010
• Registration will occur on-line (28 teams max)
• Fixtures will be available to captains on-line
• Captains will be able to manage their team on-line
• Healthy food options (No burger van)
• Camera crew to capture the atmosphere of the day, and place on the social web pages
