Before you arrive…
Tuition Fees (UK/EU undergraduate students)
Have you signed and returned your Online Declaration Form?
If you have applied for funding online and wish to avoid delays in receiving any loans and grants that you may be entitled to, it is imperative that you sign and return a Declaration Form to the Student Loans Company. For more information on how to find and print the Declaration Form, please follow the link below.

Have you received confirmation of your funding entitlement?
Assuming you have completed your application for funding and have fulfilled the required criteria, you should receive a Notification of Entitlement letter from the Student Loans Company giving you a breakdown of your entitlement and how/when payments are due to be made. Although we typically do not need to see this letter, we recommend that you bring a copy with you to University in the event of any unforeseen issues arising with your funding.
If you have not received confirmation of your funding entitlement before you arrive in Aberystwyth, then it is advisable to contact your Student Finance provider directly to query whether there are any tasks outstanding on your application which may be causing delays.
Important additional information
✔ Full-time UK/EU undergraduate Tuition Fees are charged at £9,000.00 and this is the figure you should state in your application for funding.
✔ New EU undergraduate students applying for funding in respect of the 2016/17 Academic Year will need to print off and complete an EU16N Form which is available from here. After the EU16N Form has been returned to and assessed by Student Finance, they will send you an EU16B Form which needs to be completed in order to be considered for the income-assessed Aberystwyth Bursary.
✔ Although Student Finance allow you up to 9 months from the beginning of the Academic Year to apply for funding, Aberystwyth University will deem you liable to pay the Tuition Fees yourself until your entitlement has been confirmed in writing.
✔ If you have been accepted to study at Aberystwyth University through Clearing or if Aberystwyth University was not your first choice University, you will need to provide the Fees & Cash Office with your Student Support Number (SSN) and Customer Reference Number (CRN) so that we can confirm you are attending Aberystwyth University in order for you to receive your funding. These numbers are assigned to you by your Student Finance provider and will typically appear on any correspondence you receive from them.
Example SSN: SFWU16000000A Example CRN: 95000000001
✔ It is worth keeping in mind that your Tuition Fee funding is paid directly to the University by the Student Loans Company. However, your maintenance entitlement will be paid into the bank account that you have specified in your application for funding on the dates shown on your Notification of Entitlement letter.
