Points to Note:

  1. Annual tuition fees will rise roughly with inflation in following academic years.
  2. Students starting part way through an academic year will only pay a portion of the fees for that academic year.
  3. In line with the practice of other agricultural science and biological sciences departments in the UK, it may be necessary to charge supplementary fees up to a maximum of £3000 for each year of study for research in the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences involving large animals or significant amounts of consumable reagents, some of which can be inherently very costly. Whether a supplementary charge is levied and the extent of that charge will depend on the nature of the research being undertaken. Applicants will be advised of any such charges at the earliest stage in the offer process.
  4. Different fees exist for Islands Resident (i.e. Isle of Man, Jersey, Gurnsey, ...etc.). These students do not pay the same level of fees as UK students. The relevant level of support from Islands authorities is available at the Universities UK website. Aberystwyth University is defined as a "Research" Institution. Tuition fees for 2010-2011 are due to be set in April.
  5. You should be aware that on some courses there are additional charges during your studies for field trips and use of additional resources, these are in line with the practice of departments in other UK universities.
