Academic Life - Video Transcript

Hey, my name’s Laura. I’m a third year Geography student and today I’m going to see if I show you what it’s like to study here at Aber. I’m just on my way to a lecture, so let’s go.

Hi there, I’m coming to you undercover from my lecture. This is one of the smaller lecture theatres here at Aber because there’s only a few of us that do the module, so it means wherever you sit you get a good view of the board and can hear the lecture really well. I’ve got to go, he’s seen me.

Well that was pretty good, but unfortunately he’s given us some work to do, which means it’s off to the library where our quest for knowledge continues.

This is one of the new automated librarians. Being a student at Aber means you get one of these, which means you can take out your books hassle free without having to bother anyone. I’ve got my book; that was easy, let’s go.

I’m going to head down to Rosser Lounge to meet up with a few friends, have a cup of coffee and write up some field work; luckily it’s just around the corner.

Well, what can I say? Our adventure has come to an end. I hope I’ve been able to give you a good taste of what it’s like to study here in Aber; we’ve got some great facilities and everything is really close by.

I’d better get back to doing some more work – bye for now.
