Health
In addition to your local GP, the Student Wellness Centre can support you with professional health management. Advice is available about: stress, anxiety and mental health issues, prescriptions, sexual health, diet, smoking cessation and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We can also put you in touch with other agencies within the community.
We offer an appointment to see the nurse, who can also refer you to a doctor who visits weekly. Consultations with the doctor are by appointment only.
A University Nurse is available between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.
The service is available to all students.

Immunisations
It is important that all students are immunised before coming to Aberystwyth University with the following vaccinations:-
- MMR (Mumps, Measles and Rubella)
- Meningitis C (to be given at least one month before commencing University)
- Tuberculosis (N.B. If you have not already had skin testing followed by BCG vaccination (if needed), you are urged to get this done before entry to University. It is no longer standard practice to screen students for tuberculosis at University.)
Also you should register with a local general practitioner once you have commenced your studies. They will be able to advise you regarding immunisations.
